Learning content and sources
Some learning content is based on official Afghan schoolbooks. Rights to reused content remain with the respective rights holders. Additional sources are listed in the individual apps.
About the series
Alef Mad is an independent learning resource. The app are not official school editions and do not provide a language qualification. The guides on this website describe version 1.0 of the five program packages.
Audio and pronunciation
Audio sources and language varieties differ. Some recordings use synthetic voices with Iranian Persian pronunciation. The pronunciation review and gradual adaptation towards Dari are not yet complete.
This website
Fonts and images are served from the website’s own files. We have not added advertising or analytics tools. Your light/dark preference is saved locally. The hosting provider processes connection data needed to serve the site.
Documentation, main app and contact
This website provides information, guides and one selected demo lesson per app. The full versions are planned for the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Microsoft Store. Demo progress, homework and writing sheets are saved only in this browser and are not uploaded. A separate demo backup file lets you transfer them. Green tracing lines in the animated writing guide are temporary practice. Email links open your email application.
